Megrow Consulting has turned three. A big “thank you” to all the clients, business partners, advisors and supporters for another fruitful year! Time really flies. Sometimes it is hard to believe that Megrow now is in its forth year of operation.
a brief glance back
Clients understandably ask for references prior to engaging Megrow’s services. Confidentiality is key, hence I cannot share details of prior and current engagements. However, I did a bit of data mining to get a view over the services Megrow provided over the past 3+ years.
ERM, Underwriting and Strategy work make up for app 70% of Megrow’s services over the past three years.
The remaining 30% comprise of other work such as coaching, training, providing second opinion on matters and similar type of work. Clients comprise local, regional and global players in Asia and the European Union.
a sneak peak into the future
Risk and the management thereof is a growing business. Opportunities for Megrow to deploy its distinct value proposition to clients will continue to emerge. Stay tuned for updates on this blog. In the meantime, you could read some of my more technical articles about ERM here.
Thanks to all customers and business partners, the past year has been a great journey! Some existing clients decided to continue the work with Megrow and some new customers engaged my services. This is good testimony to my value proposition. I continue to focus on “outcomes matter” and the made-to-measure business approach. Ultimately, every client is different and so is my work with and for the customer.
We are megrow
Megrow is transforming from an “I” into a “we”: Dennis Bessant is senior advisor to Megrow since Q3 2017. He brings extensive experience in the single risk field and decades of leadership track record with him. His knowledge will enhance our value proposition and ultimately work to the benefit of our clients. Read more about Dennis.
I’m happy and humbled at the same time: a big THANK YOU to all clients, business partners, benevolent advisors and constructively critical supporters, who were part of the first year of Megrow’s business. Positive feedback from customers is the single most rewarding aspect of my journey setting-up and running Megrow.
Time to celebrate, but no time to rest! Enterprise Risk Management is rapidly evolving from a governance activity into a true strategic, forward looking tool. Doing ERM is like competing in a decathlon. You need to have good skills in 10 difference disciplines, being able to switch between them within minutes, plan and coordinate smartly and ultimately perform when it matters most.
I help Megrow’s clients to make that journey efficient so that they can focus on their core business whilst the ERM-framework is being set-up and operationalised.
I’m very happy to announce that my fellow director at Megrow, Margaret Lim, has been accepted by the Singapore Institute of Directors as a member. This is a another great step for our company and Margaret.
The Singapore Institute of Directors promotes the professional development of directors and corporate leaders. The institute also encourages the highest standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct.
Visit www.sid.org.sg – it has all about the institute’s various interesting offerings!
I’m very happy to share that Susanna Lam, MD of Acacia Advisory Ltd and myself have agreed to establish a strategic Acacia Megrow Partnership.

The CEO of Veromont, one of Megrow’s business partners, just released the most recent issue of the company’s newsletter.
In the newsletter, Daniel Wahrenberger eloquently elaborates on the advantages of engaging Interim Managers. Read the article well before you kick off the next big project, or a leadership transition is on the agenda! Have a look at the Veromont homepage and the newsletter section to access the full content.
Today is the big day – six modules and six papers completed and all passed, I attended the GRADUATION CEREMONY of the Singapore Institute of Directors and Singapore Management University joint “Directorship Programme”. Ms Poh Mui Hoon from the Institute and Dr. Stephen Wyatt from the University shared great insights with all the graduates and handed over the diplomas.
All the learnings, the exchanges with faculty and fellow students and the sometimes demanding exam papers, help me to improve the delivery to our clients. Furthermore, I now have practical board experience and some academic credentials, which position me even better to help companies in Singapore and elsewhere in Asia as a member of their board of directors.
The learning process continues: post completion of the course in late 2015, I have already collected a number of CPD hours to stay current and I have become an ordinary member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
The directors of Megrow Pte Ltd are happy to announce that our Managing Director, Reto Brosi, is on board since April 01. 2016. Based in Singapore, he is very much looking forward to bringing his 20+ years experience in the insurance industry to our client’s advantage.
Margaret Lim, Director of Megrow Pte Ltd, April 2016
Welcome to the inaugural edition of the “Riskosity Blog”.
I created the term “riskosity”, a combination of “risk”, “velocity” and “viscosity”, under which I will share – in loose sequence – my observations and thoughts about the ever-evolving corporate risk landscape.
Megrow Pte Ltd. is a boutique consulting company working with its customers to successfully climb the risk maturity ladder. “Risk is Opportunity” guides the thinking and approach to Enterprise Risk Management and the general consulting approach.
We will regularly publish blogposts about Enterprise Risk Management here and keep you updated on major developments of our company.
